Weird NPCs spawning in my house!

I'm not sure if this is a 'thing' but from what I have read in a couple of other threads this bug could be related to any floaties you might have placed in the water in front of your house. Once he removed the floaties the lot returned to normal. This seems to be happening the most with that 50x50 lot. But the lots on the volcano island are rumored to be buggy as heck. It's also happening with beach lots that are designated as parks. Hope this helps.

No No! I finally found a cure! Remove all fireplaces and put into your house inventory. The fireplace is glitched! I did that and no more stupid npcs in my living room. Hope the devs read this ;)

I will try that thank you i have vendors that they are spawning inside i am not sure if i have fireplace on the third floor :smile:

I just discovered this bug and I guess it hasn't been fixed yet. I suspected it had something to do with the fireplace, because I just saw a NPC despawn right in front of it, like Santa. The fireplace is in their bedroom and it was quite startling to see people just appearing out of the corner...

This bug is definitely still in the game. I had the same issue last week.

I am having this issue also. I use MC Command Center to make them leave but it is annoying. I am going to try putting the fireplace in their inventory and see if it stops.

I can't believe they have not addressed this in the latest patch.

I am having townies come into my house at all hours of day and night, getting glasses of water from all of my sinks and leaving the dirty glasses! It's so annoying. I have all exterior doors except the main front door locked to "all but household," but they still use them. -_-

I'm having this issue right now. I locked all my doors and they just spawn in my living room, then disappear near the fireplace when I use MC Command Center to get them to go away. It's super frustrating because I just figured out how to fix another bug. I really don't want to remove the fireplace because it's a big part of the aesthetic of my witch's home.
