Depends on my mood. I usually ignore them or cancel out the event but they leave the fruitcake and I try to delete it before my sim gets to it. They always autonomously eat it despite having food in the house and what's worse, I'll have sims who hate the fruitcake and still eat it.
Plus all the neighbors get so dang rude. And I'll be cooking for myself and they're like "food for us?! Thanks!"
