- Don't be a curmudgeon! I love it! It's a great addition and an invitation to begin a relationship with the sims who welcome you to the neighborhood.

I've been going through the neighbourhoods checking on what each household has in their individual inventories.
A tedious job but it has its lighter moments - I found about half a dozen Sims with fruitcake tucked away
All the failed Welcome Wagoners, I suppose.
In my rotational save, I've found so many fruitcakes in the pants of my sims. And it won't let me drag it out either, so I have to tell them to get rid of it because they always try to eat it when they're hungry, which gives the majority of them the uncomfortable moodlet. Smh. One of the things I hate about Sims 4. Any NPC spoken to becomes a stalker( welcome wagon). Sometimes I have a story played out in my head and my Sim will be a anti-social like me (My husband and I have lived in this apartment 2 years, and I know absolutely none of my neighbors that includes the other 7 apartments in this building alone) and here comes the stalkers. One of my Sim's children said hello to a adult NPC and was constantly called all times of the night to go out to the bar. >.> Then another time I was doing the toddler challenge and Sim was busy tending to toddlers the stalkers walked up and rang bell. My Sim did not answer, so stalker goes and starts talking and playing with the toddler, I was like seriously?
I think that is the biggest thing about this game that turns me off, the forced over social aspect of it and the stalker like NPCs.
There is definitely a lot of inappropriate behavior. I have Sims calling my household members to go to a "party on the bluffs" at 2:00 a.m. I have NPC Sims who are barely acquainted with my Sims children calling to ask them out for dinner or to go to a bar, etc. - and it's 'way past their bed-time. I also have child Sims calling my adult Sims asking them to play hooky from school on the adult's day off. Gee wiz.
That reminds me now instead of 2:00 A.M. when my Sim has to go to work they have changed their tactics and now it's hey there is a crazy party going on at 8:00 A.M....I doubt that. lol- Jaline338 years agoNew HotshotHahaha - if there really is a crazy party going on at 8 a.m. my Sim definitely won't be going. Even working the late shift, someone has to get up with the littlies and get them off to school. By then my Sim just wants to go back to bed -- lol

This thread will result in like Wagon War III.
The first two had major casualties - 3 people banned - 17 jailed and 239 warned.
I didn't intend it to turn into a flat out war, besides, everybody is discussing their opinions in a civil manner. - I hate the welcome wagons too. I'm not into getting random visits in real life and definitely not into them in-game.
- The welcome wagon are definitely a nuisance.
If I invite them in they head straight for my computer or bookcase so they can pocket my books, but if I leave them outside they decide to use my outdoor pool uninvited, and annoy me to the point where I consider deleting them from the world for their impertinence. "Uzone27;c-15646799" wrote:
I don't mind them so much.
I always invite in the random visitor, but I never let their presence interfere with my Sims routine.
I kinda like having random visitors pop over, it adds to the sense of community.
I agree- I quickly click the cancel button when it pops up
- sobenewbie8 years agoSeasoned AceI play rotationally, and often drop in on unplayed households to "cheat" a pregnancy, skill, or career. I have to control everything! So, with the MC Command mod, I have it disabled.
But, if I start a brand new game, I can always allow it again, I find that, when I start a new game, it's a handy way to meet people (sims) and possibly find a friend or romance.
For example, in a recent past game, I had a female sim with a child I started with, I called the save "Red State Ruby" because she was a young war widow who had moved away from a rural area to start a new life for her and her son. Anyway, I digress, in this case the Welcome Wagon was great, she was able to meet a couple of single sims of both sexes and was able to make friends and eventually married Johnny Zest, who she met that way. Since she was conservative and not a bar, club, or lounge going person, there were very few ways to meet eligible male sims.
