Well, my desktop is fried *New Update, and It's Excellent!!!*

We had a power surge at my house and my desktop wasn't plugged into a surge protector, so it's dead. I'm back on my laptop until I can get another desktop.
*Update* 3/20/18
I completely unplugged my desktop yesterday and plugged it all back in today- this time into the surge protector and not the wall- and it's working!! <3

    Oh I'm sorry to hear that. One of my worst nightmares :disappointed: But like the others have mentioned, have the remains checked out. Something might be salvagable.

    Always unplug it if you're not on a surge protector. It's when the power comes back on that the computer gets fried.

    Yay! Glad it's working now, how scary but a real eye opener, I'm glad I've been unplugging mine even without realizing the risks of leaving it in.
