- SimAlexandria5 years agoSeasoned AceI have a 5 year old at home, she's def. not considered a toddler here, I've never heard of people calling a kid over 2-3 max a "toddler" and 3 is pushing it. Toddlers in the game learn to walk, talk, and use the potty. Nothing like any 5 year olds I know.
- @FurSimsOfficial While I agree with some parts of your post, what about people who prefer to age up their Sims manually?
- elliebreton5 years agoLegendIn my current game, I decided to have ageing off and age up manually. I set the age ranges to try and replicate the days of a normal game lifespan setting, adjusted slightly to reflect real-life ages (except babies, cos they are useless and no point playing), so this is what I use, making 1 sim day as a 'year':
Baby - under 1
Toddler - 1 to 5
Child - 6 to 13
Teen - 14 to 20
YA - 21 to 39
Adult - 40 to 59
Elder - 60 plus
So, for instance, if my sim had a baby I would age it up the day after, then after 5 days of play I would age it up to child etc. - Infant < 1 year
Toddler 2-4 years
Child 7-13 years
Teen 14-18 years
Young Adult 18-30 years
Adult 30-55 years
Elder > 55+ years - I think the older you get to 50 the more you realize it's not the stage of elder. LOL I just entered my 40's a shot period ago and there is no way I would consider myself an elder when I entered my 50s.
- Idk but teens look like they’re about 25 years old auditioning for Gossip Girl prep school roles and elders look about 107. IRL some senior citizens certainly look older than others but every single elder in this game looks to be a zillion years old. Plus, it seems like just one woohoo or jog and they’re kaput.

Babies: 0-1
Toddlers 1& up to 5
Children: 6-12/13
Teens: 13-18
YAs: 18-30ish
Adult: Mid 30s - ... (There's really a stage missing between adult and Elder, though I guess you can apply age effects to sims and change their outfits).
Elders: 70+ - Babies:Under 1 year
Toddlers: 2-5
Child: Ehh...like 8-11ish maybe?
Teen: 13-18 (but more on the 16-18 range)
Young Adult: 19-35ish
Adult 35-65 I guess
