What age do you play a character? Considering child up

I usually start out as young adult ( most end up becoming a vampire or aging off due to not wanting to let go lol), but recently started one as a teen on her own. I also have made a game with a teen and her younger sister that started out as a toddler ( and is now a child) as I made them having ran away after losing their mother in an "accident" and trying to escape the folks that were after them so they hid in Forgotten Hollow.
