Artist buy equipment, dancers and musicians buy lessons and learn skills developed by other performers. As for sims on the gallery, I think we agree to give up possible rights to them by uploading to the gallery. But we probably do have copyright of sims and builds we share in other ways. FYI, if it's possible to have copyright to something, the copyright exists whether you declare it or not. It's not actionable unless you can claim damages, though.
