Yeah, right. Believed that I had read it. When we create things in The Sims 4, we create free labor to EA that they can use to earn money, or to promote their game.
All the game content is protected by copyright, and it belongs to EA. But if they are to have a monopoly on the official appearance / face or a particular house design, they must apply for trademark protection on each figure, and it costs a lot of money.
