What are things you wouldn't do in real life (but could), but find yourself doing a lot in-game?

I tend to do a lot of cheating and unwanted pregnancies in my games, when in reality I am in a very happy relationship and would never consider cheating ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, actually doing things and not just sitting by the computer/phone all day, haha! :D

I do a lot of beekeeping in-game, as well.

In reality, it's not in the top 500 things I'd like to try in my life (given there aren't even 500 things on that list, that's saying something).

Deleting people who annoy me. I do that in the game fairly often. I wouldn't do that to real people... Well, not the real-life version of it, that is. I wish I could at least mute them, though. :lol:

Romancing, making offspring and raining death upon simkind

yes they are all activities I would hate to participate in irl but somehow its all rather sweet to witness in my sims lives

also anything to do with careers skills or school cause i max my sims like way too much and yet irl me would literally never bother to learn a thing cause turns out you don't become perfectly charismatic by talking to reflective surfaces or learn to build rocketships by just beating things with hammer for hours such a let down truly

oh also: visiting my neighbors

yeah not happening.

Working hard every work day.

Ignoring friends.

And most importantly: talking to random strangers on the street.

Not meeting friends who call and ask me to come over or go out somewhere. Guess I have more time in real life.

One of my vampires invites himself to peoples' houses all the time too, regardless of whether he even knows them (most often not since he's just there to feed). That's something I most definitely wouldn't do. I have never even done a surprise visit to friends/family, that's just something I REALLY wouldn't like anyone to do to me either. Like, suddenly a friend just comes knocking on my door like "Hi, I happened by. Let's hang out." Bruh, don't. A little warning would be appreciated.

I'd say romancing and family play both. I'm ace who has no interest for intimate relationships and having kids but I find that fun in the Sims. (Although I do also have sims who I play as disinterested in romance.) Many of my sims end up having kids at some point because not only do I find that gameplay engaging, it's also interesting to see the genetics at work (which is why one of my first mods for TS2 and TS3 were ones allowing same sex pregnancy so I didn't have to keep adopting those boring looking sims lol). You know, that's one thing. IRL I really appreciate people who adopt but in the Sims I want to see what the genetics do.

Overall drama and chaos. I seem to gravitate away from "traditional happy families" (there's usually something a bit odd going on) and I tend to grow most attached to my sims who have flawed personalities (e.g. Evil, Mean, Hot-headed, etc) or who otherwise manage to mess around like flirting with everyone they come across with no care for any heartbreak. IRL I prefer things to stay nice and friendly, no unnecessary drama needed, but that's just boring in the game :D. I think if some of my favorite sims suddenly became real people, I actually wouldn't stand them cuz they are such rude/thoughtless jerks haha.

Nothing, I have to say. I play my Values. Yeah, I'm in my own little Straight-Jacket. We all have them, mine is no worse than anyone else's.

Write, paint and play music... also battle evil but mostly write, paint and play music.

Honestly, as a wish fulfillment fantasy, SIMS let's me play out my desire to be a best-seller author, to create beautiful art and music, to cook great food and to spend time with people I like and to be able to live a nice life while doing it all. Yes, there is also a lot of romance and free love going on in my games... I'm a romantic... but the real win for me is being able to do art.
