- floridameerkat7 years agoSeasoned AceI have three families from three saves that I plan to move to Sulani at some point.
1. Judith Ward has a toddler daughter in my Lilsimsie save and she hired a live-in nanny to essentially raise her daughter for her as she has no interest in being a mother. She wants to focus on her acting career and ensure she stays relevant and famous. The nanny, realizing this and not wanting this little girl to be raised knowing her mother doesn't want or love her, basically kidnaps Judith's daughter and smuggles her away to Sulani where she raises her as her own.
2. Lilian does not like children, so much so that when she accidentally got pregnant from a one night stand, she gave the baby to her sister to raise and never told anyone else of its existence. She and her two younger brothers and their fiances all still live in their childhood home. Her brothers just each had a child, so there are two toddlers running around the house at the moment. While she loves her niece and nephew, Lilian has no desire to share a home with them, especially since they make it hard to concentrate when she works from home. So she has decided to move to Sulani to live a quieter life. It will also make a great place for her family to visit from time to time. I'm considering making her a mermaid at some point or having her settle down with a merman (if I can find one). She also may or may not end up with another kid...
3. My Strangerville hero has been in hiding ever since she defeated the Mother Plant. She currently lives in the underground bunker beneath the ruined airplane and spends most of her time below ground. She's paranoid that, at any moment, her victory will be reversed and the strangeness will begin again. She has a romantic relationship with the curio shop owner, but they are not official and don't live together. However, they recently had a daughter, and they have decided that it might be safer for all of them if they leave the town for somewhere more secluded. I still want them to live off the grid, so I am going to have them move into the shipwreck lot on the natural island in Sulani. "midnitetech;d-960562" wrote:

I have planned for my sims to relax on a floatie in front of those waterfalls and also place tents on the beach and sleep there.
I may have one of my married couples renew their vows on the beach with that new wedding arch.

1) Rags to Riches Beach Bum
2) Rebuild The Island Challenge. Basically a take on Legacy-Apocalypse challenge with each generation building a new home on an empty lot.
3)Merman siren rising through the ranks of the Criminal Branch to become the head of Sulani's very well hidden pirate criminal organization. - I mentioned it before but I’ll flesh out the mermaid Family I’ve created already (they just need their tails). The eldest mermaid is the leader of the three pod group. She’s an evil siren - very into seducing every sim male or female she comes across and growing male sims in particular. In fact...every male sim she woohoo’s with she is going to lure it to the ocean and drown.
Her male protector merman is going to seduce a sim here or there as well. He is mainly there to be the silent body guard in the corner but he will party hard when he decides it is ok to cut loose.
And third mermaid is the youngest and hasn’t had much interaction with humans. She’s going to drown a young man after luring him out I tot he water like she has seen her sisters do countless times. She’s going to give him a mermaid kiss and drown him and feel conflicted and curious when she sees his fiancé wailing on the shore. Love isn’t an understood concept among my mermaids and mermen. The strongest bond is family. Love of the romantic kind is considered fickle and childish - an extremely “human” trait. The youngest mermaid is going to find herself a little too curious about the people of the land though and may or may not find herself lost in a love she doesn’t understand but transforms her world. - floridameerkat7 years agoSeasoned Ace@Kamio How do you make a prexisting sim an occult? Can you do it in CAS or do you have to do it in-game? I don't pre-create my sims for new packs, so I've always wondered how people who do actually do that with their occult sims.
- My sim JJ Kim Dreamer is going to leave behind all that he knows and fall in love with a mermaid girl. I’m also going to create a mermaid couple and raise their cute mermaid kids. Ooh now I’m excited too :)

Hunter Cottoneye, who lives in the underground bunker in Strangerville, is going to get the Volcanic Activity lot trait.

Go to a cave and find and eat a special kelp to transform sim into a mermaid. (And eating a second kelp changes them back to human.) - davina12217 years agoSeasoned AceI want to see what the sea animals do and check out the nets on the beach. I want to check out the map and look over the houses and townies. I plan to get a feel for what can happen in the expansion and I may just get a tent and live on an Island or something. I'm usually a live off of what I collect kind of simmer or use the money cheat and I may just live off what I make or try the new conservation job. Not really sure till I get in and see what all is available and what looks the most interesting.

A human can be turned by a vampire, and apparently a human can become a mermaid by eating kelp. (Aliens are just aliens.) However, there are also cheats or mods to turn an existing sim into an occult (or an existing occult into a human).
For IL, I will probably make hotel or send a couple of visitors, or possibly start a new save just to check things out. But later on in my main rotation I have a single dad who had been tent-living on a lot in Brindleton Bay with his wife and their toddler son, and at the end of my last play session with him his wife had abandoned them to go back to her parents' house. He is exactly the kind of sim (lazy and wants to live off the grid) who would move himself and his son to a tropical island and live on the beach.
