Forum Discussion
I've been brainstorming more things I can do for MerMay, so I started a little project that I wanted to have ready in time for the Month of May. For the Artist Community, there is a challenge creators take part in to challenge their creative skills. For the entire month of May, artists from different creator communities create Merfolk Themed creations. I haven't seen the same creativity in the Forums, and I wanted to try and kick start something in this thread. Because of how much work goes into creating 31 works for an entire month, one for each day of the month, I've been spending a lot of time planning what I want to do.
For others in the forum, I wanted to create something Builders can take part in because creative challenges are always better with friends.
In preparation for the Month of May, alongside writing 5 or 6 chapters for every Friday of that month, I've been creating a template to share to the gallery so that others can do a build challenge alongside me.
The Lot is the Admiral Wreckage in Sulani, and I'm currently in the process of turning this into a Hybrid Lot. I'm making the Fishing Troller a sunken wreck for an underwater scene in the Basement. Above the Basement, I'm creating a kind of Island Jungle/Ruins above. The lot I plan on sharing to the Gallery will be unmodded and it will only include the Base Game and the Island Living Expansion. This lot I will share will be a Template that others can modify alongside me. The minimal packs are a part of making this accessible to everyone.
For this build challenge, I will spend 1 hour every day adding something to the finished template and sharing the changes here. This Template will be a huge build so there should be a lot to do for an entire month. Additionally, I'm hoping that this expands the underwater scenes player can use with their merfolk and divers alike.
All of the images I'm sharing right now were done 100% with the Base Game and Island Living build items. Currently, there is no custom content or mods used in the build. The Cheat, BB.MoveObjects, BB.ShowLiveEditObjects, and BB.ShowHiddenObjects have been used.
Very cool!
