I never build from scratch. Partly because I can't and partly because I prefer live mode. So grateful for all the gallery creators.
I hear you. I love to build, but I'm also very much enjoy live mode, too. I find the need to build something come over me, and I do so in a new save so I don't mess up the time in the active save. Building for me, is a way to relax.
