@mcrudd Is that picture where you point out the cot, from the event? I confess, I only watched almost ten minutes of it, trying to see the picture of the infants. If that's an actual image (and yes, I know that images don't mean that much in the long run) then it appears as if these infants may well have skills to achieve. That would be the ultimate. If this is the case, this may be as close as we'll get to them aging slowly into a Toddler. Which is perfectly fine with me.
I'm really not sure what to expect and doing my best to tamp down my own excitement. I confess, I'm having a hard time playing my game today. I think I'm suffering from something very similar to PEPS. I do hope they share more as time wears on. I'm totally beside myself over this. I did start a thread about how I was nearly in tears over this.
There was a baby sitting in a high chair, from what I saw toward the latter half of the video. The babies I saw prior to that were held by adult Sims and the babies were wiggling around, working their legs, such things as an infant will do, to help strengthen their muscles for later things like walking.
I do hope they have skills to work on, much as the Toddlers do. And I do hope we can bathe them in the sink, or if EA has a baby bathtub. I also hope that if a Sim plays with the infant too soon after a feeding the baby might urp all over the Sim. Shades of Sims2. I loved that interaction.
Just as an aside, we call that type of cot a Pak 'n' Play in the States, at least that's the brand. My daughter's babies all slept in one until they were too big and/or tried to escape it. They are great for those small spaces. We had one at our place for when they came visiting.
And since they show an infant in a high chair, dare I think about swings? I had some I purchased through the Sims Store. So much to think about, with uncertainty, because I would hate to dream so big that I'm disappointed when they get here.
