I'm a little disappointed that newborns will still be chained to bassinets. Even if we could just move them to a limited number of objects like a nursing chair and changing table, it would be an improvement. But at least we have the option to age them up quickly. I'm looking forward to the new infants. It will be fun to see what they can do!
They're only going to be in there for a max of like 2 days probably so it won't be that bad; and then they turn into infants and can learn to crawl and can take it out for walks.
Seriously 2 days is fair amount. Kudos to anyone who can play with a baby for more than 2 days. I tried doing it for a whole sim week for a story and by the end of the first day I wanted it to be over already.
I wonder if infants will somehow lead to an update for toddlers as well. Like more interactions and things added for them as well
I sometimes have to resist the urge to age the babies up. I allowed Jamison the entire six-seven days (I play on Long) before I had him age up. In fact, since his mother was due, I do believe I stepped in and aged him up a day or so early so he wouldn't suddenly age up while his parents were away at the hospital while his sibling was being born. But, yeah, normally, I just focus on the other Sims in the household.
I have to say, I'm going to have to see just how the implementation of this new life-stage is handled by EA. If we keep baby bassinet, for a couple of days, that's fine with me. If baby-bassinet gets substituted for the infant, that will truly be different and interesting. I'm going to try to keep an open mind, either way. While I attempt to keep playing my game forward for now. Just so I have something to post along the way. Oi. It's a struggle, even now.
