i mean it's true that there have been a lot of complaining threads. but i mean what else is people going to do when their feedback has been ignored for +6 years? i don't blame anyone. the pack didn't look as bad, in fact i love the japanese theme of it but due to the announcement of a personality system on the game, it caused some polemic, because devs promised smarter sims since ts4 release and the idea of getting the changes behind a paywall isn't something people is glad to hear.
i admit i complain a lot about ts4, it doesn't mean i hate the game, in fact i like some of its features like cas, build and some of its premades became my favorite. but i also give negative feedback because it has a lot of bugs, the AI is flawed, traits make no difference since sims only act for their emotions, devs keep separating every tiny feature into packs, marketing has ruined the sims image, etc.
i love the franchise as a whole and previous sims games set expectations very high but in ts4, devs keep lowering them. they are always making excuses, victimizing themselves, mocking the players or ignoring their feedback. i think the complaints are justified. this franchise is a classic and doesn't deserve any less. i too feel bad when i get into a video of paralives and read comments like "omg sims could never" or "it's over for the sims".
so i think all the criticism is well deserved. besides, if it wasn't for the criticism we wouldn't even get the skintones update some people is so grateful for. we wouldn't have many things you guys can play with now. if devs didn't took the negative feedback so personally and just accepted it like other developers do, perhaps you guys would understand the reason for our negative feedback is because we want the game to be the best version of itself, our comments literally affects you on nothing guys, if anything you welcome for the changes we've gotten.
i am aware that there are sims haters out there but the main reason they exist is because ts4 has disappointed way too many times. i'm not excusing them but you guys shouldn't focus about them or put every negative feedback in the same place. i do also agree that some complaints are a bit...ridiculous. but people has all their rights to post what they want as long as it follows the forum rules.
just ignore them, like i ignore diehard sims 4 fans that will insult me on comments just because i said the game AI is bad lol.
