I think its fine if people want to complain maybe they need to vent about something maybe it helps some people
I rather them vent towards the game than the people. Venting towards people never solves anything and thus why the Sims 4 still remains in its state now. Imagine how much we could have done in the game had people put aside their differences and worked together to make the Sims 4 a better game instead of turning the community into a warzone. That just tells me they have unresolved insecurity and depression issues attacking people over a video game and pretty much virtual barbie dolls. Like what a waste of six years of their lifetime trolling on the internets over a game that other gamers call a childish franchise already and the fighting just intensifies the trolling we get from other games anyways. Like it is an embarrassment to call ourselves a Simmer now with how the community behaves towards each other. It is a rough time to be a Simmer right now. But it is an interesting conversation hearing from other communities how dysfunctional our community appears to them. I don't blame anyone not wanting to get into any of the Sims games right now based on community reputation alone which is lower than dirt.
This article is good about it:

Why I think making the other Sims games playable to an account too might help, because for the Sims 1-3, there isn't any risk to their games for trolling. Sims 4 there is which is why I think it is the main target to get people to stop playing.
yes I agree picking on people never good I think its just because more people know about it then the other games
there's more people playing this game then ever played the others its just more available and with more people comes more
trolls @Scobre
Very true. I don't think the pandemic is helping either. Actually fun fact I learned about that was people more at risk have lower Vitamin D levels. I know people are stressed more than usual because of this and well they have to vent somewhere. I just wish it was towards Sims rather than the Simmers that's all. But might be me being unrealistic. I know a lot of people are angry right now and like with customer service, it is not me or Gurus that people are mad at, they are facing something behind their computers that goes much deeper than the game so have to remember not to take their venting personal. I know a lot of Simmers use the games as a way to cope with bad situations. I had a feeling the Sims 4 would have a rocky experience just because of world conditions changing more rapidly prior to those six years. The world was a much more peaceful place during the Sims 1-3.
So true and it did not help by cutting so many features and not tweak them. There an lot of systems out there that could handle the features that was cut especially down that 64 bit has taken hold. But what is done is done and I feel Sims 4 has reached it peak even with the new update. If they were to say we are giving you the end users the tools to create your neighborhoods and also edit everything possible for me that itself would breathe new life into Sims 4 and also prolong it's life, one can dream. :)
I would like ability to edit our neighborhoods too. Part of me wonders if Sims game is only as strong as its parent game SimCity. SimCity 2013 had very similar neighborhood design as the Sims 4 so I understand why feedback would be the same for both games. I am personally ok with not having CAW but I would like there to be neighborhood editing tools like the Sims 2. I have a feeling Sims 4 is running out of ideas too, so personally beyond next year don't see many themes left to do that can't be covered by the user made stuff packs by the modding community. I mean only thing left is farms now and supernaturals for paid content to do. Rest can be done through patches. I mean I have a few themes they could venture to large packs to allow for more time for patches and Sims 5 base game development, but yeah I feel like the lifecycle will end soon too just because every game has a life before it becomes outdated with tech and art style even with the cartoon focus. Cartoons age too. I am happy with the upcoming updates. I am a builder and gameplay player so it will be right up my alley. I know we have had many discussions together wanting more focus with families and lifetime effects with some sort of memory system so exciting times soon. Didn't think it would take six years to get here but better late than never.
I could see fairies in a happy haunts GP, werewolves in a Farm EP, and zombies in a GP with an underwater world with arcade games. Weddings in a SP.
