Do harvested flowers serve any purpose other than acting as seeds to grow a new plant? I've tried to figure out if there's something even moderately interesting to do with them by searching the web and experimenting in the game and I've come up with nothing (other than grafting, of course). I find it rather annoying harvesting flowers and having them sit in a Sim's inventory because it makes activities like fishing with bait or even choosing a decent fertilizer too cumbersome - scrolling through all those individual flowers is an absolute mess. So, other than planting, grafting, and selling the dang things, what else is there to do? I thought it would be nice to be able to put them in a vase or give them to a Sim but Maxis doesn't appear to agree with me. For the love of Bob Newbie, someone, please educate me.

So far the only things I have found you can do with them is use them as bait to catch fish or as fertilizer for your garden. They are kind of a waste of space - I was really hoping to create floral arrangements to put around my house. :(

Speaking of which, do the flowers give off any emotional auras? Flowers in vases would then become a great decorative piece and an emotional boost for each room.

Make them seem useless, but with ideas to make them not useless, just stored up in their memory banks, ready to sell to us at a later date in an expansion like sims 4 open for business.

So far the only things I have found you can do with them is use them as bait to catch fish or as fertilizer for your garden. They are kind of a waste of space - I was really hoping to create floral arrangements to put around my house. :(

If we can edit the size and position of Sims' bazookas and rumps, we should be able to toss a couple of nice vases full of flowery goodness around the house. I see where your priorities are, Maxis, ya big nasties.

I'm pretty sure they're probably already imagining this.
I can just imagine their thought process when releasing the game with "useless" flowers. Make them seem useless, but with ideas to make them not useless, just stored up in their memory banks, ready to sell to us at a later date in an expansion like sims 4 open for business.

Yes! I am late to the game, but I was really hoping there was a flower shop in Sims 4. That was my most favorite thing about Open for Business. <3

You can feed flowers to toddlers. Seriously. Use the "give food" option, choose any flower and they'll eat it like a delicious snack :D Other than that, I see no purpose for flowers other than upping the gardening skill faster if you have some in your garden.

Agh, I wish! Open For Business was one of my faves, I wish they'd followed the same type of system with shops and ticket machines.

Roses are used in Rose Perfume and Tainted Rose Perfume serums. Any harvestable (inc. flowers) can be used in the Synthetic Food serum and Tainted Synthetic Food serum.

The flowers that I like to have in my garden other than the ones needed for grafting, are tulips. They give your sim the energy moodlet while gardening.
