What Career(s) Do You Usually Go With, and What Are the Career(s) You Stay Away From?

I couldn't see anything posted about this, so if there is a discussion I'm sorry. I usually go with Writer, Painter, or Culinary. Right now, I'm trying to use different careers because I want to...

Most of my sims don't have careers at all. I prefer just crafting all kinds of things.
But from the careers I have played, scientist is the best. And I'm not a fan of the newer, semi-work-from-home careers. The daily tasks are either way too simple, or take too much time.
