What do you do when you hate a sim you've created?

I have a sim I made myself; Melinda Crow. I don't really like her, she's a bit boring, hates fishing and gardening. It was supposed to be a rags to riches challenge but she hates everything so I quick...

In this situation I like to either:

- Mark them as unplayed so they basically become townies;

- Change up their story (turn them into an occult / turn into a villain / get them to change jobs etc.)
