What do you do when your Sim(s) are stinking rich?
So I have already hit the limit of money to be earned in the game (9,999,999). What do you do when you hit this point? My sims are still working on careers, so not working isn't a option. And finding expensive items in the game and sticking them in my household inventory is annoying. And the most expensive thing I have found is 15,000. I also donate 50,000 as often as possible (I think that was thanks to a mod). I'd love to hear others ways to deal or suggestions on how to waste away some of this money.
I just moved out kids #55-58 in my 100 baby challenge and they received quite the send off with 8 million simoleons, the majority of my matriarchs household funds. She makes so much money from her garden along with all the toys the kids get anytime they age up, not to mention the investment reward from her aspiration and the seven perfect money trees I just give it away anytime a chunk of them move out.
I don't play with just one household. I fill all the worlds up and play whatever family I feel like playing that day. I've never got much money out of it. I find it more fun that way. Each family has a different aim in life.
With the Get Famous Pack, my sim makes 20k each day from music royalties and licensing. Then I use that money to invest in the retail stores my sim owns.

I don't understand how people's sims get rich so easily. I struggle 70% of the time to keep their household funds above a few thousand at a time. I build a lot, so my money mostly goes into upgrading the house. My sim is currently saving up to one day buy a retail lot, which would once again take a long time to gradually upgrade as my sim makes more.
You could try doing this. Building (or downloading from the gallery) retail lots, vet clinics, restaurants etc that your sim has to upkeep and upgrade. Become a property big boss. You can even franchise your restaurants and retail - create a whole line of your specialized products. Kick the Landgraabs to the curve. If you haven't already used Newcrest for other purposes, fill it up with your monopoly.
I guess I'll find out soon. I got a notification in my game about an hour ago that was a congratulations on having a sim with $9,999,999. I don't know who it is. I play rotationally and haven't found which family it is. I had to take a break. Maybe it was a mistake.
My sims, particularly in my legacy family, are always experiencing some kind of monetary tragedy (bye-bye money using UI cheats) to keep the income within reason... everything from a tsunami wiping out the house to a simple fire destroying everything. They also donate generously to charity or spend irrational amounts of money on landscaping.
I get bored long before I reach that point and start new, and the few times I play into being rich I just don't do anything special. It accumulates and I can't spend it. I want to do investments, buy real estate and get richer but there really isn't any kind of gameplay for the rich Sims yet in the game. So once you reach that point it's just not anything new for you to do with it.
My sims won the lottery at one point and it drove me insane because even after multiple generations I wasn't able to get rid of the money. So, I ended up just cheating the money down because I want my sims to suffer.
