Well my sims don't have big families so they have 1, maybe 2 kids at most. But if they have 2 the first one that ages either moves to their own place or stays home until they get married. Depends on the Sim really and the second sim keeps the family house including mom and dad. LOL. I send mom and dad traveling a lot and enjoying life once the child is grown and either has a mate or doing well on their own. The parents usually get into archeology for now - but hope they get more vacation spots too eventually to do more things. I also play the older child and household when they are on their own as well.
