I still play with my elders. Sometimes they are married to people who are younger or they still have young kids. I tend to dye their hair back to their original color, though not always. They often still look like something of their younger selves with more wrinkles. I'd like to have some softer make up options that look better on older women so that they don't look too harsh - unless I want them to. I'd like most elder women in my game to age gracefully as respected, integral and loving family members. The male elders sometimes have a late-life crisis but they are usually loving parents and grandparents too. There could definitely be exceptions to this tendency depending on individual personalities.
I have not built a senior facility and I don't really have a designated lot space for that. If an SP came out for elders that included more stuff for that, it would interest me. I'd only have certain elders move into a facility like that and even then, it usually wouldn't happen right away.
Now, I do tend to delete or age down random townie elders. You kind of have to earn elder status in my game because I usually want a range of ages and I skew towards editing most townies to be YAs so that they will be around a while. If I did add an elder facility, I might allow a few fun townies to join in.
I basically play every life stage including the elders. It's a cradle to grave rotation for those born into it. I find it to be kind of interesting how the same spaces change and evolve over time. My game is kind of the entire world rather than one family in it.
