What do you do with Townies?

You could always use him, and use cheats to reduce his skills to zero. I do that a lot with interesting Gallery Sims.

I annihilate the all sims in all worlds and put my own sims in, occasionally keep the odd one.

I like to start from scratch with only a few families, and eventually my towns grow!!!

I use Fashion Police (the mod) and have festival outfits turned off in MCCC. So then they're tolerable.

I used to delete them, but they keep coming back, and I see no point in giving makeovers to sims I'm not playing, so all I can do is ignore them. Well, and fight or kill them occasionally if my sim has the Public Enemy aspiration and needs that to complete a milestone.

I use cheats so I can edit them in live mode by shift clicking on them and then I edit them with cas.fulleditmode. I use some mods to reduce the amount of townies being generated as well.

I avoid marrying or befriending them as i want my sims (all the house owners in all the worlds) to interact with each other. But sometimes my sims are stubborn and just fall in love with them and i'm not the one who's going to stay in the middle... ?

Most of the time I ignore them, but sometimes I go through the householdmanager and delete all those which I don't like, like vampires or messy mccc families or if the names and characters absolutely don't fit in to my current game.

Some I give makeovers to, for story reasons or otherwise.

It's a toss up between kill or ignore. It depends on how much they bother me. :D Edit: Oh I missed the other option. I use mods to reduce them.

I usually go on a makeover spree and change their hair, makeup and clothing. Generally, I leave everything else alone but I might tweak facial features here and there from time to time to bring in extra diversity. <3
