What do you like most about The Sims 4 in regards to gameplay?

I like to read my sim's whims and think about a way to fulfill them while creating a story around it. But i'm only able to play like this thanks to mods that improve whims. Cause we all know how the whims system is superficial and was left unattended for years now...
