- I play characters I make up, premades, and their descendants.
- MoonlightGraham3 years agoSeasoned AceI almost always play Sims my daughter and I have created. Right now we're playing a game in which all the Sims come from our Gallery; no premades at all.
Z made very good versions of our Simfamily, and they're in our game as "supporting actors." Of course, their surname is Sims. What else would it be, right? We run across the Sims family frequently, which is fun, but we don't play them. One of them, based on my youngest brother, just won the lottery, so we're tempted to help him deal with his newfound fortune.
The other Sims in our Gallery are almost all the products of our imagination. There are a few based on fictional characters, and a few real people, not famous ones, whose stories we've run across and who have appealed to us. - ADashofAsh903 years agoSeasoned AceI have myself and hubby in the game but don't play as them (enjoy seeing them in the world). I tend to make a variety of sims based on ideas that I have, but also include some from my favorite shows, games etc. For example, the Witcher cast/family is in Windenburg on the isolated island with a few other families I've made. When supernatural came out I downloaded the Mystery Inc Scooby Doo gang to solve all the ghost cases.
- SimplyJen3 years agoSeasoned AceI play premades and other random sims. I love occults but don't play them enough. My simself isn't for playing. She's placed in the world and marked as immortal. I have romance options turned off for her as well via MCCC.
- OldeSimsFan3 years agoSeasoned AceTotally different. Any similarity to a real person, living or dead, is unintentional and more like an accident. This goes for all sims versions.
- FatTribble233 years agoSeasoned AceI'm a family player, but I confess I start over a lot. My first gen is always my simself (which seems to be rare here, hmm) and her husband who sometimes is my favorite actor and sometimes just a random sim I made in CAS and liked the looks of. I used to play my simself and my RL husband in Sims 2, but since he's passed that is too painful. I also don't name any children my simself has after my RL children. I couldn't bear to watch them age and die.
I have never played premades in the Sims 4, but I don't delete them either. I do give them makeovers. I will sometimes add sims from my library or downloaded from the gallery if my gender ratios start to get too uneven. I recently added Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth to a cruddy "apartment" building in Del Sol Valley, because it amused me and I needed more YA males. - I've been playing the Sims franchise since the beginning, in 2000. Because of this, many of the premades from past games feel like old friends. So I recreate them for the Sims 4, and I also expand the family tree of premade S4 characters like the Goths, adding the older Goths, Crumplebottoms & Bachelors. I also have some characters of my own that I add into the mix, too.
- atreya333 years agoLegendI play with sims created by me, not premades. To me they are characters in a story but definitely not me. Mostly I start out with a single sim and at some point he or she will get a boyfriend/girlfriend and children. This single sim often has similarities with me but it is not me.
Most of my sims households end up with an occult character, just because I enjoy supernatural elements. - susanleona3 years agoSeasoned AceIn sims 1, 2, and 3 I used to either have a sim self that I played or used as an in game NPC but in 4 no, no mini me, just my own creations.
- Missmagoo23 years agoSeasoned AceI play with sims mostly from book/television series.
I like having "worlds" already put into place for me to play in. I'm not very imaginative on my own, so this is a great help!
