I made a thread kinda like this - "how do you refer to your sims?"
I don't refer to myself at all. I just say "my woman", "dad", "my daughter", "Michael" or any of the sims' names. I guess I identify as the current heir/heiress and then use pronouns according to them. I don't think of myself as the master or god or anything. I am my sims. All of them.
edit: I just realised when I'm playing a generation I identifiy as the heir and then call the heir's wife "my wife". But once they have children and they are old enough and I'm ready to move onto the next gen I start calling my initial heir "mum" and "dad" as I identify with the new generation finally.
