I doubt I'll buy The Sims 4 if it doesn't include weather, honestly.
I agree with everything else in this thread. EA should include the most important aspects from the most popular EPs (downtown, apartments, pets, extensive careers, etc.) in the base game to leave room for new features that we haven't seen in previous games.
More realism in appearance and unique personalities are a huge must for me, too. The only time we really get to see traits affect a sim's character are a few autonomous actions now and then, and it gets pretty old.
And, wow, EA needs some fashion consultants. Have you seen the clothes they try to pass off as "stylish"? It's horrific.
