All of the above really. I like the idea of creating a homestead type home, and I think farming for me enhances the idae of off the grid type living. So it's less about farming itself, but more about a cosy country world, where my sims can live and grow their own food etc. I also loved the cows and getting milk, eggs from chickens etc from TS3 - because we were able to make things using the produce. So if we made jam, we could then use it as food to spread on bread/toast - which added that next level of gameplay.
And I miss Apaloosa plains - man I loved that world!
