Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wa...
This is how we got to that point. Week 3 at Copperdale High started dramatically.
Se-jeong was miserable, and sick, but we have the magic decontamination shower. It's more convenient than medicine.
re aspirations, the two good sims (MK and Min-woo) completed Goal Oriented on Monday. Se-jeong finished cheerleading, at which point I swapped her to drama club, but this kicked her out of her social media influencer which she hadn't finished. It was a minor setback. And losing progress in drama club is moot, as promotions and trophies don't seem to work at the mo.
That's a gratuitous pic of the house, and another one below. I've done some slight renovation because I wasn't happy with the roof. I've added some columns and roof furniture too. But the charm of this house for me is that it is understated, it's not shouty. Rustic charm. I tried some of the R&L windows, but it was too much.
If I don't point it out, the GTW satellite dish on the roof might go unnoticed. This unlocks the alien tv channel, which seems appropriate for this family.
The problem was the sims were autonomously activating the satellite. Angry town was one, then someone else tried to contact aliens. I could override the angry moodlet with Happy Town, which is why everyone is glowing green. But the satellite dish has gone into Mi-kyeong's inventory, because it was clearly too much hassle.
Winterfest was a chance for the teens to catch up on emotional control and empathy. My fav deliquent Se-jeong in particular had to work very hard on her empathy. At one point she was halfway in the red, and also lacked emotional control. At least everyone was done with afterschool activities after Winterfest.
Oh, I made the main living space here slightly cozier. We don't want to go overboard.
Final day at high school for Mi-kyeong and Min-woo. Both got high marks. I still haven't seen the "aced the exams" moodlet on any of these teens, but my hunch is that doesn't matter for getting the Valedictorian trait.
I know other swords can be copypasto-ed, and before moving Eun-jae out I had her try to pull Simcalibur from the stone, just in case you can cast copypasto on that sword. She didn't get it.
YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS. I don't understand the RNG, but Mi-kyeong is Valedictorian. She's so happy, she's glowing green.
Her siblings both got Graduated with Honours. All 3 teens, even Se-jeong, earned 5 positive character value traits. Between them they have, at moment of becoming young adults, 166 traits. Mi-kyeong (the only Father Winter's Baby of the lot) has the most (58), and has another 10,000 satisfaction points to spare. I didn't do the Live Fast aspiration with any of them.
Min-woo is getting flirty with Sofia Abrantes... :)
I want it for that tv channel, but when they start autonomously knocking out the whole town, or making everyone angry, I sigh and give up. I'll have to research that, see if it's intended behaviour or not. I don't think it is.
Congratulations to Mi-keong in becoming valedictorian! 🙂It is great that her siblings graduated with honours. They all have a lot of traits between them which will be good as they start their new young adult stage.Happy birthday to them! 🎂 The photo at Winterfest with the sunset is very lovely ❤️The sky colours are pretty and peaceful.
I especially wanted to get the colourful sunset. :) Yes, they've done well! Two-and-a-bit weeks of following them to high school is finally over (never done that before), but it worked. Se-jeong avoided expulsion. Truth be told, Se-jeong is my favourite, and I think whoever aged up first would have got Valedictorian. So I have a twinge of regret for her, but it wouldn't make sense for the kid who got expelled twice to plausibly the best student.
We hope their graduation goes smoothly. Raising sims is always the most focused part and from now on, nothing will be as crazy for them.
