It’s been a while since I posted, since I kept waiting for the TS4 forums to go down. I’d better preface this first. I’m playing a Sims 2 in Sims 4 save, and using a backstory that incorporates the Regency mod. Essentially, the Capp-Monty fight was over who would be king, and certain families were designated as ‘noble’, with sympathies toward either the Capps or Montys. Because of the Regency mod, I’m playing with stricter social rules – marriages are generally arranged by politics, society is ordered around Houses instead of individuals, etc. The Capp family, by this point, has won and Tybalt is considered the King, but there are a lot of areas where his authority is weak, like the Far Coast (San Sequoia, Del Sol) or nonexistent (the mountains, Sulani).

Jesse and Izzie
The big news of the season was the Pleasant-Goth wedding, joining Jesse Pleasant and Isabella Goth together. The news frustrated numerous hopeful suitors, but was bound to happen: Izzie and Jesse had been each other’s most frequent dance partner at balls their entire teenage years, and Izzie was also very attached to Jesse’s parents. When she moved into the house, her sister Giorgia accompanied her, the twins being inseparable. Daniel has recently had to make changes at the house, establishing Jeffrey and his wife Greta (Laurent) in their own home, and establishing his youngest son Christopher in his. Fortunately the Goth dowry has refilled the coffers a bit. The arrival of the two young ladies should brighten Pleasant Manor up a bit, as it’s been mired in gloom since Mary-Sue died of over-excertion at the gym. The girls are already enjoying themselves, having been raised by their kind but commandingly strict older cousin, Regan. The Pleasant Manor now consists of Daniel, Jesse & Isabella, Giorgia, and Daniel’s youngest daughter Eleanor who has just started school.

Regan and the twins, Giorgia & Isabella
Regan Capp will miss her cousins’ bubbly presence at Goth Manor, where she has lived most of her life – first as a court-appointed guardian of the Goth orphans, Cassandra and Alexander, and then as as “Lady Goth”, as she’s jokingly referred to. Alexander regards her as his mother, and when he reached his majority so many years ago, he invited her to consider Goth Manor her home for as long as she liked. She has continued there since, facilitating Alex’s marriage to her cousin Ariel, then being the nanny and guardian to their children in turn. Now that his oldest girls are out of the house, and Michael is in his late teen years, there are rumors that Alex and Ariel are contemplating setting up a small house in the islands and retiring from Society: they’ve never liked being the heirs of a great House, and Regan is a far better mentor in that respect. These are rumors only at this point.

Giorgia and Tiberius. Tiberius is the illegitimate son of the king, Tybalt. Were he legitimate he'd be an ideal partner for Giorgia, but as it is Tiberius will need to settle for a daughter who is not so high up in the nobility.

Lady Lilith and Sir Vladimir
Lady Lilith Grunt is now Lady Lilith Legasov. The widow of the late General Buzz Grunt, she had lived at the old place with an unusual family arrangement: in addition to her children by the general, Alexander and Caesar, she had invited the general’s former girlfriend Marcella to live with her. The general dated Marcella before she became possessed by the Mother Plant. During Lilith and the General’s joint effort to take care of the alien plant invasion, they fell in love and got married. Marcella had a child named Cora by the general, though he never knew. Lilith and Marcella became friends in their grief and are helping one another raise their children. General Grunt’s military command was replaced by a man named Sir Vladimir Legasov, who earned acclaim and a knighthood after he solved the wolf problem in Moonwood Mills. The unusual living arrangment will persist, as Lady Lilith – who inherited her late husband’s responsibilities as lord of the desert provinces – must stay in Strangetown, while the general has his own responsibilities (and minor fiefdom) in Moonwood Mills, as a reward for solving the wolf problem.

Tiberius, Princess Contessa, and Isabella
Word has reached this reporter that Bianca Monty, who leads what’s left of her family, has received a proposal of marriage from Malcolm Landgraab. The Landgraabs are an ancient family who were occupied during the Capp-Monty feud with their own feud against the Altos: both of the San Myshuno/Downtown clans have maintained a quiet presence in the city. A marriage between the Landgraabs and Montys could infuse the Montys with cash and keep that illustrious but defeated family from disappearing altogether. Beatrice, widowed by the last male Grunt, is also set to make another marriage match: presumably she will marry either Alexander or Caesar Grunt to re-establish the Monty-Grunt alliance. Her children by Ripp, and Lilith’s by the General’s, are the only remainder of the original Grunt family. Now it will be shaped by Lilith and Beatrice.
