- Wasn't the gameplay kit they released buggy? Guess they've realised that if they just release items people will still buy it and there's no complex coding work to do ?♂️ Dream Home Decorator gets praised as one of the best game pack even though the gameplay doesn't work because the furniture is nice...

I really like it! It’s by far my favorite kit. "beville;c-18014204" wrote:
They are not good at making game play. This is why they are staying away from it ! ?

So much this game could offer with gameplay kits B)
I think it’s because Busted Dust was so bugged
It’s a shame as the idea of household chores is good. I think I would’ve got that kit if it was buying a hoover that triggered the dust. Rather than every house getting dust.
Also…. Including a broom! ???
Maybe
I am hoping there just taking more time before giving us another
never had any bugs with bust. turn it off when not wanting to use it.. even when dust bunnies appear around the house I use it once and they go from every room. I Do wish got a brush to. I think we got an old fashioned hoover tho- we got a fairground wheel and a roller-coaster in the sims 3 gameplay pack. 4 could offer so much with gameplay kits

Nope I love it. Never understood all the complaining about it. And it's always worked fine for me. Now dust builds too slow since they nerfed it but I just learn to live with it.
Always nerfing! *rolls eyes*
I like the pack, with the exclusion of the constant air sniffing. I had to mod that out it got so darn annoying.
@ncisGibbs02 I play on rotation too, so if I don't want a household getting dusty I just turn it off while I'm playing them ?
Yes you can turn it off ? but then why buy the kit? ???♂️.
I just don’t see the point in spending £5 for something I’ll turn off.
I think its a Good thing having a on/off option.
or the forums will be a nightmare with complaints. kind of like with bust the dust
I have to turn thundering and heavy snow off all the time.
I love the kit, too, but I don't always want dust in my house, so I'm glad I can turn it off. As for bugs, I haven't had any issues at all with Bust the Dust. In any case, I'd really prefer more game play kits, or at least useful build-buy kits. (I hate clutter with a passion.)
it reminded me so much of premium content items you could buy in the sims 3 store. only cheaper with 3 different style hoovers and 2 handheld ones with 4.
if they gave us strollers or kids bikes or spiral stairs I would buy them
drum set
roller-coaster
casino item
baby changer
just a few examples- Personally, I'm 1000% fine with only CAS/BB kits and less gameplay ones.
The problem with the nature of Sims 4 is that bug testing/QA is probably ridiculously overloaded/overworked (with so many different packs that not all players have and with how coding can intertwine; it's hard to cover everything) as it is. And when the kit gameplay itself takes more care/work to get fine tooth-combed for bugs; it's suddenly not worth the investment of the price vs CAS/BB where it's less likely to break code. Especially for a game that is chronically buggy to the brim.
Edit: added some clarifications - 83bienchen4 years agoSeasoned AceI think gameplay kits can work as long as they do not have too much impact on the game as a whole. I could see a gameplay kit coming with objects with new functions working very well.
Dust affects various areas and therefore was a challenging choice for the team to implement. "BlueR0se;c-18018754" wrote:

you don't have to buy any gameplay items. if anything large packs is going to affect the game more than a single item with
a few styles.
I think its worth the investment
if they did start giving us some requested items with gameplay kits, they might be very popular- Daephene14 years agoSeasoned AceI'd love to see a few more kits with some of the items I miss from Sims 2. My wishlist would include:
Sewing machine and/or pottery wheel from Freetime with their craftable items
Pool table/billiards
More instruments and the option to play certain ones together as a band (if that would fit in a kit)
But I suspect the bugginess of bust the dust made them step back from them until they can do a better job.
Also they seem to be using CAS/BB sets as filler for gaps in their usual pack release schedule, and gameplay takes more resources that aren't being spent on filler.
