Tbh I really thought they would have the update ready to go by the time the base game went free for everyone, especially since they announced it over a year ago. That would have been the perfect time to introduce all the new simmers to the new version. I’d still replace them all with my own version, but it sounded like (and this could be fully wishful thinking on my end) they were going to get the relationships fixed up and the sims updated with like/seasonal clothes so they’re on par with new townies.
