Turns out I spoke too soon earlier when I said Lobo's lineage had died out and vanished from my game. One of my played sims who is attending University currently ran into another student named Melina Lobo today. I checked to see who her parents were and she is the daughter of Diego Lobo and Kim Goldbloom. I investigated further, and he had one more child with Kim, Kolby Lobo, who is currently a toddler.
Both of the kids still live with their mother in Henford-On-Bagley so are part of the "Goldbloom" household and I had not seen them before. Given Kolby's age, I assume it hasn't been all that long since Diego died even. Makes me wonder how he liked living in Henford-On-Bagley. Doesn't seem like it would be his cup of tea.
