What is the best career for these traits?

Athlete is a good choice. I'd also suggest a work-from-home career where the work-from-home tasks are very social. Like Politician or Law. Your sim can bask in the good emotions of other sims, get promoted often and admire their new career reward objects (or whatever else you would like to gift them with).

Interesting! I'll confess that I've not tried either of those careers. I wonder how they would affect his wife's acting career and when they have children because I'd want to join them at school. So it seems like a real balancing act to work with each sim...

Wait, so both politician and law are rabbit hole jobs, not work from home. You were meaning that the work from home part is the daily task?

I would go with doctor career with body building as hobby. Or maybe bakery owner with rock climbing as hobby and interest in volunteer work.

Being a doctor is fun. Though I think I broke it when I edited the hospital. Ever since then (on the old console at least) the surgery table was extremely glitches out. I haven't tried it on the new console.

Well you could choose some other high earning career then to satisfy the ambitious and materialistic traits. Maybe Business, as it would go well with the charity and donations needed by the good trait. Skiing would be a nice sport hobby for such a sim.

Thanks for the suggestions. Skiing would mean a lot of traveling though and he's married to an actress so she has to do auditions and performances. Also, they will have kids in the near future so they will be in school. All of this family activity would make it hard to find time for skiing. But, skiing in the game is fun to watch. Definitely my favorite vacation activity!

Actors don't need to audition everyday and family skiing trips could take place on weekends and vacations. He could work out at the gym on normal days. Or maybe swim. Or release stress through boxing. :lol:

True true. Her career is what's keeping the lights on but it's about balance. Also, skiing isn't everything. He could hit up the local gym for now. Business seems such a boring career but would be good with ambition and materialistic (being good is not a requirement and could be a disadvantage).

I'm liking the law career idea too though. Of course being an athlete would also work well with fast metabolism.

Doctor is very high pay so that's ambition, good and materialistic. He's not a genius though so that'll be a disadvantage. I could send him to work when she has to do a scene so that would work out there. Besides, I do need to see if the career is still glitched on the nee console. I could also switch between going to school with the kids and going to work with him.

So much to consider.
