I'm not sure you can, apart from saving your sims and houses to your library, and starting a fresh save that way. The closest to a new game, in the way you describe, is Save As. I'm not really sure that really counts as a new game though? It does give it a new slot number. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I already do the Save As. Each time I play my game I do a Save As and rename it. Cantrell-1, Cantrell -2, etc. Yet, things can go wrong. What I ended up doing was sliding the saves from the previous file that had the newest dates into the new empty saves file after I did a Game Folder Refresh. So far, so good and I am playing the save in which I left off. While you're correct, it's probably not quite like starting a new save altogether, I did start this particular series of saves from my Template save, which is still safe in the original save folder on my desktop should the worst happen. That was the save wherein I set all the venues and lots where I needed them, taking my families from My Library and placing them into their own lots. That was a total reset, if you will. I am hoping that doing it this way, will help keep the corruption down to a minimum. Although, I am dismayed that I've had a UI failure while playing yesterday— unless that's a sign of inherent corruption already in the save. :open_mouth: I no longer have the UI Cheat mod in my game. Why should the UI fail? My Sims have two weeks left of summer (I use LilmsSam's 21-day seasons instead of 28 mod, given the all-clear). Since I'm playing on Long, the eldest two kids are set to age up the first week back from vacation, with Joey aging up on Sunday and their sister just a day, or two after. Even Adrian ages up to Teen. He and Erik apparently share the birth date. LOL The triplets will age up the day before Brianna. I will set aging off once they set off to Uni. I started them off in the Spring, whereas in previous saves I started them in the Summer, to give Erik the time to get his career started
Wish me luck, I feel as if I'm on a roll. :)
