What is the rating of Sims 4 where you live?

Just out of curiosity what is the rating of The Sims 4 in different countries and how does the rating system work.

In New Zealand (I think Australia is the same) the Sims 4 is rated M(16). This is the exact same rating the first Sims game had 22 years ago.
Our rating system works like this:
G= General - Anyone can watch or play. Usually with this rating the content is aimed for kids.
PG = Parential Guidance - Again anyone can watch or play, but younger children may need an older one nearby. Usually the content is for the whole family: kids and adults, but not for little children.
M = Mature - Usually has a age of 16 attached. The age is a recommendation not a requirement. Content usually has themes not appropriate for children.
R = Restricted - Will have an age of 13, 16, or 18 attached. Anyone below the stated age should not be watching.

What is the rating of The Sims 4 where you live? And how does the rating system work where you live?

  • Rated 18+ in my country is extreme gore, in detail drug use, graphical sex scenes, extreme abuse, most things in my country that are a 15 would probably be 18 somewhere else but that's an 18 in Scotland

    U all ages
    PG paternal guidance
    12 12 or over
    15 15 or over
    18 18 or over

That's the age rating in Scotland, 15 can have some gore, strong language, some violence

The sims 4 is a 12 in Scotland
  • In Japan, we have the CERO scale for console games. Sims 4 is rated C (15 and up).

    CERO A: All ages
CERO B: For ages 12 and up
CERO C: For ages 15 and up
CERO D : For ages 17 and up
CERO Z: Only for those over 18 years old
