- I appear to be in the majority here. I like having a married couple purely because it shows on the geneology thing. I like having multiple children because it feels more like a family.
- I prefer starting from zero
- I never get the parents married until they have kids, that way, even if they hate each other, they still have something to keep them together. Cause i am seriously bad at starting romantic relationships, as they always seem to go too quick, and sooooo many of my sims have turned down proposals, it is so annoying.
- And i have one family, with two characters, Fawn and Jamie, they aren't married, but they have two kids, Cinnamon and Mikey.
- GamingTweety7 years agoSeasoned AceI generally play with vampires or turn aging off so I usuay have many children but they get married eventually and move out. Then I have my sims make another babies up to 4 maybe to 5, and when these children left their homes I wait a little then make more babies when I want to.
- debs21077 years agoNew ScoutTry my hardest to keep them single, but they do always end up married with kids.
I do have one "single" sim guy who has about 54 kids....lol! - All of my existing families fall into the category of married with 2-4 children and I very much enjoy this style. I can't see myself with any other type of family honesty.
- PsychoSimXX7 years agoNew SpectatorI just way to much fun letting the game take Shinya on his wild journey of life.
- In my current legacy my story goes that twin brother and sister moved to the city a few years after the sister had a teen pregnancy with the brothers best friend...but plot twist the best friend turned out to be gay however they remained good friends. The brother then fell in love with the sisters high school best friend and married her, having 2 children (I want them to have a third). The sister then married the new man on town and had his twins so now she has a teenage son from a one night stand with an in closet gay guy along with fraternal twins with the love of her life (who of course loves his step son like his own). I had them all living together but it became too hectic so I moved the brothers family out and into this cute cottage I built (I'm in love with that build...it's honestly my most favourite build I've ever done in this game.) I don't know what else I want to do with this family however I want the teen to marry and have two children at some stage...so yeah having 1-4 kids really suits my play style well...not too many children but not too few.
- I like playing with a generation of 2-3 adult siblings who live together and it usually they all start off single and 1 of them has 1-2 kids and then I see where the game goes from there! I realized it really irks me to play a family that is large enough to where the sims' icons get smaller. Know what I mean? I think after five+ people in a household the icons at the bottom bar get tiny and I can barely see them haha I guess that feels claustrophobic.
I try to rotate through different households of the same family when I have to break them up and move them into separate homes but it's hard to keep rotating!
I also like just having 1 single sim with a pet and child.
