What is Your Biggest Criticism About Sims 4?

Pretty much everything you said. I personally have never, ever ... not once (well besides playing the Bob & Betty Newbie household during the tutorial when I first got TS1 and was trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing) played a pre-made.
I could care less about them, I don't care about lore of any kind. I create my own stories. Pre-Mades are either deleted or are just background characters that my own sims may or may not encounter going about their day.
For me my absolutely biggest criticism is the restrictions and lack of customization.
I could go on and on criticizing about things that irk me about this version, but in the end, it's not going to change and all that does is get my blood pressure up LOL
I'm not begrudging anybody who loves TS4, but for me personally this version will absolutely not ever be near and dear to me. I have accepted that it will never be what I want it to be and just deal with it or I go back to an older version (until I miss some of the features from TS4 that I do actually think was done well)

- Why must we always have to create a new sim if we want to create a new save? What if I wanted to play a pre-made? I'm still forced to create a sim before I can ever get to the world.
- Why can't we, the players, create/save our own "Styled Looks" in CAS to reuse as we want?
- Why can't we save makeup and copy it over to other categories if we chose?
- Why are we forced to play in the world the devs decided? (Sure we can bulldoze lots, but not ALL of the lots since gameplay is tied to that lot and only that lot and that gameplay can't be used in other worlds like hiking or mountain climbing)?
- Why can we only decorate the "inside" of an apartment but are forced to live in the world the apartment is located in because we can't build our own apartments?
- Why can't we create our own festivals and set out what activities will take place, the schedule, and what it looks like (I get bored with the same ones over and over, it would be nice to have winter festival or a pumpkin festival with different seasonal activities)?
- Why can't we freely delete things from the world or place items in the world as we want in OUR OWN WORLD? Why are we always forced to accept what the devs had in mind for us?
- Why is there sooooooooooooooooo much set dressing in all of the worlds? Just like this high school pack, the world is big, but it's not really. There are so many shell buildings that do nothing beyond filling up the space. Why can't we delete those shell buildings and put an actual lot there if we chose to?
- Where did all of the customization from previous game go?
