What is your favorite occult?

Mermaids. If we are offered some cool werewolves at some point, I'm sure they will become another fave of mine.

As lacking as they are, I still adore my aliens, and while shallow (heh), mermaids quickly captured my heart, and of course, vampires, being the only occult to be handled well in this game, are awesome. Ghosts are just boring this time around but it's still nice to have one or two playable ones in a save. I really wish plantsims were actually a thing instead of having been a thing for a challenge and now being a buggy remnant of a broken feature, but what can you do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All of them are just a temporary fix as I eagerly await the werewolves...

Mermaids win out ever so slightly over vampires simply because I love all things watery and beautifully incomprehensible. That, and mermaid forms are just more fun, seeing them swim and twirl around is amusing and the idle animations (1. cupping their hands and singing and 2. that super derpy one where they flap their hands and make weird noises) are adorable.

I was right about vampires being super popular. I don’t even have the pack! :D

Vampire offer the best gameplay but I was never a fan of undead occult. Vampires and zombies were the only ones I actively avoided in previous iterations. So if they can do this to an occult I dislike, I really hope realm of magic will give the this kind of VIP to an occult I actually like.

So for now aliens are still my favourite.

Vampires are my favorite, in spite of Maxis not being able to fix all of the glitches. Aliens are fine when I play them. I have no interest in playing Ghosts or Mermaids.

I like the mermaids, but vampires have goals.

Mermaids are my all time favorite fantasy creature, but they are just not as fleshed out as vampires. Gotta give credit where it's due.

I can't vote since I've only played vampires and aliens so far. Really liking both! I was a little skeptical about aliens at first but the broken vampire dark meditation gave me a push to try them out until it was fixed. I'm really glad I did, having a ball. I'm also glad dark meditation is fixed. Will try ghosts next.

I think if our mermaids had similar gameplay options than our vampires, meaning grading up to become a superior mermaid then it would have been my favourite. They should have added where we could up skills and get powers, talking to fish, turning others by being able to grow mermadic kelp and then gifting them could be like the biggest power. Yeah just a little excitement and they would have been my favourite, but for now it remains our bloodsucking sims since they have nice challenges and skills to build up. I do love the look of our mermaids though :D

They are all unplayable unless their genetics are fixed.
