What is your favourite way to play The Sims 4?

Playing. I always start with premades. I will keep their style untill their kids age up to teen. Then i change their clothes in cas. But It's something i do in 5 minutes per generation.

I like playing the game and building. I would say I'm a player first but I do spend a good amount of time in build mode as well.

Mixture of player and builder. I go through binges and now I’m coming to the end of my playing binge and and more in the mood for a building binge. I’ve been like this since sims 1.

I prefer to just play it. I don't have the patience to spend hours building, or in CAS. :)

Well, I'm more obsessed with creating community lots, but houses work too!

I actually play the game once I add the lots that I use in all of my saves. Buildings are updated as needed. I generally don't build stuff myself. I look for builds on either Tumblr or The Gallery by a few creators whose style I like. New lots are tested and tweaked to fit my game if I decide to keep one.

I am much more of a preferred "player" from above, at least originally, but I had to change my playstyle in 4 to even it out. Live mode just doesn't hold my attention like in the other entries (where I would CAS, BB, and then be in live mode nearly exclusively), so I hop around a lot and spend basically an equal amount of time in each (with no linear pattern anymore).

4 BB and CAS are great. Live mode still feels lacking to me, so it only makes sense for me to engage it using its strengths to have fun.

I thoroughly enjoy rotating through my many households and families and watching how they change.

I play, build/renovate/decorate, and design/redesign sims in CAS. But I think around half or more of my time is playing.

I'm all over the place. CAS, build, play, rinse and repeat.
I come up with elaborate characters, build them a house and play it out a bit. Only to decide on a new story and start all over again.


Right now I am doing something a bit different that I have only done once before. I am blogging the current story and sharing.
