What jobs do they get?

I have a new Sim, Shannon. Her mother, Hilary, is phoning to ask if she should try a new career (neighborhood stories style).
Currently Hilary is a substitute teacher. What kind of job is she likely to get if I happened to say "Yes. Go for it." ?
  • I get annoyed by the npc sims calling to ask those sort of questions, I usually say follow your heart...

Every time I told them it was a good idea they'd end up as a dishwasher, but when told to "follow your heart" they'd get a decent job.
  • I actually don't know. Normally I don't answer those if they are players I want to keep at the same job mainly because I don't want it to be some random weird job.

From what I've experienced it seems to be completely random. Summer called one of my sims 3 times asking if she should change jobs, my sim said yes all 3 times. Summer went from cook, to secret agent, to a part time worker in a fast food restaurant. There were a couple other sims who also asked, and while I can't really remember just who, it did seem like the jobs were totally random.

So now I always say "no", unless I know the sim and feel like they have a job that doesn't really fit their personality.

Same! MySim is like, you do you, it's not my decision.
