Thinking more about it, some things I'd like to see with werewolves is a, for lack of a better term, predisposition to certain traits, such as hot-headed and family-oriented, in game generated random werewolves.
As for werewolves being a threat, I think it would work better that there was a chance of "accidentally" getting bit if you fight with a Werewolf (Hello, Neighborhood Brawl day and the Roughhousing NAP) and a controlled werewolf can fight someone with the intent of biting them - but with a chance of it failing. And success or failure on the bite is independent from whether the werewolf wins or looses the fight.
But I do agree that they need to be more than harry humans.
I agree and disagree.
The Werewolf Lifestate Trait should have some other minor traits built into of course.
Loyal - Most werewolves have a sense of loyalty, even if they are a lone wolf, and by some chance they do make a friend. They are loyal friends.
Lone Wolf - Tend to wander alone, Trust is hard, they don't truly need a Pack to survive.
Family Oriented by nature yes and no, how does the line go?
"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives." -George R.R. Martin
As we have Lone wolves, Werewolves who desire to be alone, (but they are easy targets for the bigger, more powerful werewolves and other occults to snipe) and then there are werewolves who desire family and/or friends a place to belong.
I would say Werewolves are more... Loyal and while they do crave a family/Pack it doesn't have to be blood.
High Metabolism - Werewolves are very active creatures, and burn calories quickly, even by just simply existing.
Hyper healing, Endurance, & Immunity - depending on the injury, Werewolves can endure extreme hot and cold temperature, last longer in fires, swim longer in water, and electricity longer than the average human. It still hurts but they can live through it longer. Emotionally, Werewolves are cannot be killed my extreme emotions, (Cannot die by enraged, Mortification, or Hysteria) in this regard they are actually equipped with a power to absorb extreme emotional burdens from other sims as well. This is why my Sorcerer is actually best friends, Brothers even, with a Werewolf. My sorcerer has had a traumatic childhood, and the werewolf has seen him, and helped him live through it. the werewolf actually has had troubling past of his own in his family history, and his own. So he and his 5 older brothers, are essentially bred as emotional support wolves.
However on the emotional front Hot-headed, Werewolves are not typically hot-headed by nature. Its impulse and Instinct from time to time and most of the time it's the Full Moon. As the full moon draws near, the werewolf becomes more tense, their emotions do become unstable. Whatever emotions they are feeling at the time of their shift change get's increased exponentially. Not just but furious, Tense can easily for into anxiety, they can become Passionately Aggressive (Wolf's Heat) towards their lover, heck they might experience the best woohoo of their life and not even remember it once the full moon sets. If they are sad perhaps tumble into chasm of dark depression. only during a full moon
So my werewolf, Tyrion age 16, for example he is part of 2 packs. His Family Pack, with his Father as the Alpha, (his mother is Human, a respected alpha (Technically she's was a Princess before she fled from her Home World, to escape her toxic Mother/Queen)
The Betas, there are the Triplets: Aiden, Cain & Wren; followed by the the Twins: Orion & Brent; and then there is Tyrion the lone wolf.
Tyrion is the oddball/rogue of the family. He had tried to escape his family, he felt he didn't fit in, and his family felt it too a little, But they gave him their unconditional love and he reciprocated. However as a Werewolf family, they do have this sort of Perk, when the full moon rises and the wolves are are going berserk they have the power control themselves together, especially their father. However Tyrion, never responded to Him.
Not by his own will tho, He has always made it his mission to obey his father, but for some reason when the wolf takes over he's lost to him. But my simself, Sorcerer, Mason had managed to get through to Tyrion after an Incident in the woods outside the city. Mason age 13 at the time, was taking a hike by himself, and Tyrion also age 13 at the time, escaped his father's mansion and somehow caught Mason's trail and attacked him.
Mason, with a scratched up arm & a bitten side, managed to cast a tranquilization spell on Tyrion (It's like a Mixture of Deliriate and Mind control spell). Since then it's been Mason and Tyrion. Aria, the naïve daughter of an Occult Hunter, & Mason's girlfriend, and whose great grandmother is responsible for murdering Tyrion's GrandParents family vendetta. Rochelle, the Governor's beloved influential Daughter Tyrion's Secret Crush but Garrett's girlfriend. Garrett, Mason's prime Antagonist(Bully)/Soccer Captain and Later Co-Captain/Unknowingly Cousins/Unknowingly he is half Daemon/Spellcaster (vampire), Tyrion's Ex-Best friend whom is responsible for Tyrion being desensitized to his father's commands (Long story).
