What kind of weather do you think the different neighbourhoods will have?

I think this will give me more reason to use the different worlds!

I wonder what the weather will be like in Magnolia Promenade. Because it does have palm trees in it but it also has flora typical of newcrest or willow creek too.

Hmmm....

Oasis Springs - Very dry climate, sometimes windy. Maybe some precipitation in the Winter months, but rare and not likely to snow.
Willow Creek - Wetter climate, humid, longer Summers, brief Fall with storms, short Winters with light snow, windy Spring.
Magnolia Promenade - Same as WC
Newcrest - More even seasons, maybe lush Springs, milder rain. Normal Summers and Winters.
Granite Falls - Generally mild seasons. Some rain, some snow, a little wind, a little heat. Nothing too extreme.
Windenburg - Cooler climate. Heavy, windy Winters, normal Springs, normal to cooler Summers with some rain, normal Autumn.
Brindleton Bay - Extreme seasons. Hot summers, long, windy Autumns, some heavy Winters, stormy but short Springs.
Forgotten Hollow - Very stormy at random, overcast, cooler climate, dark and stormy, long Autumns, normal Winters, short, stormy, cool Springs, cooler, rainy Summers.
Selvadorada - Very hot Summers, flash rain, Stormy Autumns and Winters but short, Hot Springs with more flash rain storms.

I didn't know if fog was going to be a thing, so I left it out of my predictions. But if it exists, I'd say lots of it in Forgotten Hollow, some mist in the Winter and Spring of Selvadorada, some fog in the Autumn of Brindleton Bay, and in Willow Creek in the Fall and Spring.

It would be interesting to see Granite Falls have pretty chilly nights and then rise to quite hot tempuratures during the day, it would be very reminiscent of my real life camping that I often do in the summer

I wonder if the gurus talked with any climatologists?

I wonder if we'll get high wind dust storms in OS, leaving a fine layer of red dust on all the things?

He saying weather might differ not the season. I hope Newcrest experiences all the weather types, I have most of my sim families there.

I agree with a lot of the ideas that others have suggested. I might use the weather machine to manipulate some weather a bit if I want to.

Here's my opinion on the weather in the various worlds:

Willow Creek - 4 seasons, but I agree that summers should be hot and humid with shimmering heat waves. Winters should be brief but cool with rare but occurring light snow that frankly would not be very deep. Random warmer days could happen even in the winter. Beautiful fall and spring. Mostly it's weather for drinking lemonade on porches. Same for Magnolia Promenade. Prone to storms, especially in summer and fall. A blizzard might happen once but it is unusual.

Oasis Springs - Very dry, rain is infrequent and very brief. Spring is full of flowers that like the dry climate. Summers are very hot but not humid. Heatwaves occur but maybe less frequently than WC. I agree with the idea of windiness in Spring and Fall - dry desert winds. Snow is rare and light. It doesn't last more than a few hours because the ground drinks all precipitation. Winters are cool but pleasant.

Brindleton Bay - 4 seasons, very stormy but actually less so in the summer. Summers are gorgeous and cool with basically no heat waves. The other 3 seasons are very prone to storms and rain. Autumn is gorgeous and gets cool quickly. Winters have heavy snow and lots of blizzards. Spring is cool and gorgeous when it doesn't rain. There's a reason that there have been so many shipwrecks.

San Myshuno - I actually have less opinion about this. I think it'll have all 4 seasons - cold snowy winters, very hot summers with heat waves, gorgeous fall and spring. Every season is kind of amplified there. All weather can happen there but it isn't too dry.

Forgotten Hollow - Clouds get trapped in that mountain valley and they stay there for a long time. It can be cloudy for days or snow for days. There are sometimes occasional sunny days to taunt the local residents but normally weather patterns tend to stick in this mountainous place. Blizzards, storms and clouds all like to lurk here. If anything, summers aren't usually too hot but heatwaves are definitely possible when they come up from the south. I basically think of this as somewhere in the Carpathians.

Windenburg - 4 seasons that are strongly felt. You can see nearly any weather here except for desert. It's a temperate climate, sometimes cool and sometimes hot. All of the seasons are in full effect. Summers get surprisingly humid but not as often as WC and not as stormy. Winters are snowy and cold.

Newcrest - I honestly only have one household there and mainly use it for community lots. It'll have all 4 seasons. Less humid than WC. Maybe more rain than thunderstorms, but overall, a mild and pretty average climate.

Granite Falls - I actually think this will have all 4 seasons but very snowy winters. Being tucked away in the mountains, I think winters will be cold and snowy. All of the seasons happen here but maybe there are fewer heatwaves in that elevation. Storms happen but not too frequently. The trees may not have changing leaves but fall will see cooler temperatures and crisp chilliness.

Selvadorada - No snow, but rainy and windy winters at times. It doesn't get cold. Summers vary between sunny, rainy and stormy. Heatwaves are frequent when it's not storming to cool off. There are some really gorgeous days even in winter if it isn't storming. There's no need for any sweaters there but thin long sleeves are sometimes helpful because of bugs. Temperatures vary between extreme heat, hot, muggy and sometimes clear and mild. If anything, the weather is variable including throughout the day. Sometimes there are protracted rainy and flooding days though.

Those are just my ideas. I might tweak the seasons a but to generally follow those patterns in the different worlds if I need to.
