What lifespan setting do you play on and why?

What lifespan setting do you play on and why? I almost always play on Long lifespan. My main save is on Long. I have used Normal on a few other saves, but I pretty much never use those saves. I have ...

I play on long lifespan because with short & normal, it's just making me anxious, and even seasons are set to 28 days.
