I often play with families, and will keep the parents young adults but keep on aging up the children when i want to. I age the kids up at the same time so they are the right ages, so eventually I have Young Adult sims parenting young adult sims. I just like to have the freedom to age them up when I want to so their life doesn’t go really quickly and if there is a certain objective I need to complete for a challenge or an aspiration I don’t want my sims’ children to age up - for example in some of the Family aspirations it requires a teen to reach a certain grade in school or skill level
