What lifespan setting do you play on and why?

What lifespan setting do you play on and why? I almost always play on Long lifespan. My main save is on Long. I have used Normal on a few other saves, but I pretty much never use those saves.
I have even used MCCC to make the Adult lifespan just SLIGHTLY longer because I felt like my two currently adult Sims needed a bit more time before ageing up. I don't find Long lifespan too long at all. In fact, I love it. I feel like a have plenty of time to play with them in each lifestage without it feeling rushed, but I also love having a set day that they age up. I don't play with aging off because I want them to age. I don't like being in charge of deciding when they age up. That isn't fun for me. I like having to go with the flow and agonizingly wait for my newborns and toddlers to age up into children. Lol. So, Long lifespan is pretty perfect. Which lifespan do you play in and why? I love seeing how different people play the game.

Can't choose one as it depends on the save but generally i have normal for challenges, ofcourse and I am planning on alien save as "side" save as I haven't really played with aliens and they don't fit my more realistic save.
For my "main" save that I play as rotational game I use custom lifespan that's actually longer than the ingame long lifespan. That save actually has my first ever made sim and her children and I play just with that family and more like a story. And that save will continue to expand as new generations are born. ( my first sim is only still alive because when i first started i wasn't planning making that save rotational or more realistic save so I had her drink the youth potion multiple times) If I find that the lifespan is too long or get bored with a generation I can just age everyone up or tweak the settings. I just really don't want to feel rushed at that save as I'm attached to those sims and I'm playing it more as a story.
  • I actually play on a custom MCCC lifespan. But i would say it's a very long lifespan.

Normal. It's not too short, not too long. I don't like a generation to go by too quickly, but I can also get bored if it takes too long to move on to the next generation.

Agree, so this is why I use normal.
