There is, but the TV wasn't on. The sound lasted through even a save-and-exit-to-menu. It's gone now after I had exited the game. When i restarted the game and loaded things up, the fire sound was gone.
I think it was stuck audio from one of the sims breathing fire after eating Bombardier Beetle Stir Fry. I tell them not to eat in the living room, but sometimes they do when I'm not looking. Naughty Sims!
