I was just about to say the same thing! I was hoping for skiing this time around. It could have been similar to the surfing machine in TS3 -- the same concept as an endless pool. The Sims get to the top of the slope and they keep skiing for as long as they can before they wipe out. It would have been fun.
Oh, well.
I'm glad that there's skating, at least. Skating is an activity that will have lots of animations to keep it interesting. I wonder if Sims will be able to skate together -- that hold hands and skate in circles thing? Since couples still can't dance together, skating together would be a thing.
