What New Features will there be besides Calendar?

https://i.imgur.com/BlAMdeM.png

I was patiently waiting for the winter and fall blog to see if there's any fun *cough* NEW *cough* gameplay activity but all what's mentioned is a calender and drinking hot coca and inviting guests to a party..i mean WOW I'm really impressed..i mean besides ice skating (which is literally the only new gameplay thing you can do in winter)

I'm sorry I'm really trying hard to find anything interesting to do in fall and winter I'm tired of endless summer and please no, drinking hot chocolate is not a new gameplay, inviting guests is not a new gameplay, you can already do that in game
I want GAMEPLAY please prove me wrong and tell how if there's fun gameplay I don't want to lose hope because seasons is my Fav EPs

I could just forget about deep snow, no hail, no sunburnt or tan if there's actually good gameplay..
EA seems to do what's the easiest less tasking things and recycling ideas and talk about them and promoting them as a new gameplay, like no sorry drinking hot coca is not a new gameplay neither inviting guests to eat in your house
Why EA has to be lazy..why

I'm looking forward to gardening career, flower arranging and botany.

I really would like a 'freetime' pack, with all the old hobbies (and new ones) back.

I'm looking forward to that flower table too.

I'm just not sure what it will involve. If you're an Artist you have to paint and you can sell paintings, and writing and music and programming... maybe it will be there for that as well as extra money. It sure would be nice to display your flowers (like the paintings) or give them as gifts to increase friendship or deliver them. THAT is new gameplay. But the prospect of a new rabbit hole career isn't exactly... thrilling.

Well the way it is formulated in the blog seems to suggest your sims will have to complete these activities : "traditions to complete that make progress to your sim having an awesome time celebrating". That sounds similar to the checklists in the events we already have, at least that's what it made me think of.

You're probably right, but that also means we can disable them just like we can with regular parties. They also told us we can choose the traditions, so that's the feature I was speaking of.
  • Since they aren't giving us a world, I was hoping they would give us new a life state. (mermaids or something) But I guess they don't do that anymore. :(

As far as new game features, I always check new club activities the gurus add, to see what we actually get.

  • I'm sorry you feel like theirs no gameplay you can enjoy
but we don't know what all's in it yet I hope something comes that you do like
and if not I feel like another pack is just around the corner and we haven't gotten a big update this year yet

I really would like if holidays were PER WORLD and not PER SAVE. I think it'd be awesome if Windenburg had different holidays than, for example, Oasis Springs. This way we could add a sense of "unique culture" to these worlds that they tried to do with Selvadorada!

I wonder if that might not be the case actually. SimGuruEmory said holidays are "worldwide" so that could mean they are different for each world.

Worldwide means something that is the same in the whole world (i.e. the whole game save).

I don't know, it was mentionned that the weather would be different "for each world", so it could be the same for holidays

Question. So does this mean if i have families living in Oasis Springs they probably wont be able to experience snow?

I don't know if it will snow in OS but in any case they will be able to experience snow by travelling to a lot in a world that has snow during winter.
