I’d love to be able to create shared worlds, but only if we could control who gets invited, and only if it’s optional. I’d also like a full-featured world creator to facilitate this.
I imagine there’d be a lot of role-playing potential in a shared world, like an RP server in an MMO - given the right mix of players. That’s why we’d need control of who can join.
Instanced/online lots or regions are something that would interest me as well. Maybe my world is entirely my own, but maybe I can make certain lots (a club, for example) an online instance so that the sims within are all player-controlled. Or maybe I could set a “downtown” area to be comprised of real players.
I don’t like to be closed-minded as a rule, so I think there is potential for online features to be used in a positive way, provided they don’t force them upon those who aren’t interested.
